Reading the book "You Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins, has led me to believe that the feeling I have of wanting to suffer more in order to deal with present suffering over which I have no control is perfectly normal and that this very feeling transforms some, to have victory after victory.

That's how I got to the gym, wanting to break the muscles on me and push my physical, emotional and mental point a little higher, so that when I get to the suffering of reality it won't affect me anymore.

And guess what? It really works! I never thought I would say this.

Every day when I run and I aim to run 1.5k at a leisurely 06:00 until I feel comfortable enough to do 2k, I have 2 pieces in my headphones that help me pull my teeth when I feel like I can't I still can and I feel like I'm clacking.

  • Sia with Kendrick Lamar - The Greatest: "I've Got Stamina!!!" Yeah bitch!!! I've Got Stamina!!!💪
  • Jay Rock - Win: "Win win, win, win, win (Yeah), Fuck everything else, Win, win, win, win (Win)"

Every time these songs come on in my headphones I feel my brain secreting seretonin. I think I'm addicted. ❤️

Indeed, I love those minutes when I pull myself to go on but in an enviable way. If most of the time I ended up hating myself, these few minutes represent for me the best moments of the day.

If you are going through difficult times, I suggest you go to the gym and push yourself daily to overcome yourself, but take it easy. I even suggest getting a personal trainer who can help you stay consistent and help you execute the exercises correctly without injuring yourself. If you get injured, you destroy the consistency of the following days. In the first days it's important to stick to the schedule and get used to it, then you can set other thresholds to be overcome.
